Government Partners

Change Capital Fund appreciates the partnership of New York City government to enable grantees to implement neighborhood-level anti-poverty efforts.

The Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity is a member of the Change Capital Fund, represented on the collaborative by Kate Dempsey, Director of Strategy & Operations and Parker Krasney, Associate Director of Programs and Partnerships.

CCF is also working in close collaboration with the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the NYC Comptroller and the NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal.

CCF will seek the partnership of these and other city and state agencies in support of our goals to enable organizations in low-income and historically disinvested communities shape their communities’ future by controlling the development of real estate assets.

Technical Assistance Partner

Hester Street (HST) is an NYC-based non-profit with national reach that devotes urban planning, design, and development expertise to support community-led change throughout the five boroughs and beyond. We provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to community-based organizations and government agencies to advance participatory planning, transformative policy, and equitable community development. As a technical assistance provider to the Change Capital Fund grantees, we look forward to collaborating closely with the Change Capital Fund (CCF) to provide individualized and collective support for CCF grantees through one-on-one conversations, group convenings, and trainings to build on grantees’ efforts to grow their capacity as they undertake community ownership projects. In addition to our community-driven real estate development work, we have experience convening diverse stakeholders and fostering productive dialogues and relationships to advance projects and grow capacity.
